Calls

The most common call is a sharp, rather hard 'tseep' or 'tseet', often given in flight or when disturbed. It is distinct from the softer 'psit' of the Meadow Pipit.

When they vocalize

Mainly vocal during the breeding season (spring and early summer), with song flights occurring from March to July. Calls can be heard year-round, especially when birds are disturbed or in flight.
