Song

Abdim's Storks are largely silent birds. They do not possess a syrinx and therefore cannot produce complex songs.

Calls

Vocalizations are limited to hisses and bill-clattering, primarily used during courtship, greeting, or as an alarm. Bill-clattering is a characteristic stork behavior, where the mandibles are rapidly clapped together to produce a loud, percussive sound.

When they vocalize
