Song

Not a true songbird. Breeding calls can be a series of rapid, yelping 'kew-kew-kew' or 'kik-kik-kik' notes, often given during display flights.

Calls

Common call is a sharp, nasal 'kirrick' or 'kew-wit'. Also a soft 'wicka-wicka' or 'wit-wit' in flight or when disturbed. Flocks can produce a continuous murmur of these calls.
