Song

The song is a soft, mournful, and repetitive 'hoo-hoo-hoo' or 'coo-coo-coo', often described as a 'whoop-whoop-whoop' or 'doo-doo-doo'. It is a series of three to five similar notes, with the middle notes often slightly higher pitched.

Calls

A soft, low 'coo' or 'hoo' when disturbed or in contact with other doves. A sharper 'whirr' of wings can be heard during takeoff.
