Calls

A soft, rustling 'twick-twick' sound, often heard when foraging or moving through dense foliage. When alarmed, it emits a low, guttural 'grrr' or a sharp 'chip' sound.

When they vocalize

Calls are most frequent during foraging and when communicating with offspring. Alarm calls are given when a perceived threat is present.
