A distinctive, clear, and far-carrying whistle, often described as a series of melancholic, fluty notes, 'twee-twee-twee' or 'tui-tui-tui'. It can be quite loud for such a small bird and carries well in mountain environments. Often given from a prominent perch on a rock face.

Richiami

A soft, high-pitched 'tsit' or 'tzip' contact call, often given while foraging. Also a sharper 'chick' or 'chip' alarm call.

Most vocal during the breeding season (spring and early summer) when males sing to attract mates and defend territory. Calls can be heard year-round, especially when foraging or disturbed.
