Scarlet Macaws do not have a complex song. Their vocalizations are primarily calls.

Calls

Loud, raucous, and often piercing squawks, screeches, and growls. Calls include 'RRAAAAH!', 'AA-RRAHH!', and various guttural sounds. These calls are used for communication within the flock, alarm calls, and contact calls between pairs.

When they vocalize

Most vocal during flight, especially when traveling to and from roosting or feeding sites, and when interacting within the flock. They can also be vocal while foraging or perched.
