Calls

The most common call is a sharp, explosive 'kyow' or 'skeow', often given when disturbed or in flight. It also produces a series of softer 'chup' or 'chuck' notes, especially around the nest or during interactions.

Calls are given throughout the day, particularly when disturbed, in flight, or during territorial disputes. More vocal during the breeding season.
