Fearow song and calls

Birdsong and calls are often the easiest way to identify the Fearow, especially when the bird is hidden in dense foliage. Below is what to listen for.

Song

Fearow do not possess a complex song. Their vocalizations are primarily calls.

Calls

Their most common call is a loud, piercing 'KRAAAAH!' or 'SKREEE-YAH!', often repeated, especially when soaring or defending territory. They also emit a series of sharp, high-pitched 'kik-kik-kik' alarm calls when agitated or warning off threats. Nestlings produce softer, begging chirps.

When they vocalize

Calls are most frequent during territorial disputes, mating displays, and when communicating with a mate or offspring. Alarm calls are given whenever a perceived threat is present.
