Key differences
Ospreys are smaller, have a dark eye stripe, and lack the white head and chestnut belly of the African Fish Eagle. Their underparts are entirely white, and they have a distinctive 'M' shape in flight with kinked wings. African Fish Eagles are much more robust.
Palm-nut Vulture
Gypohierax angolensis
Key differences
While also having white plumage and black wings, the Palm-nut Vulture has a bare, orange-red face and legs, and a much smaller, less hooked beak. Its diet is primarily oil palm fruit, not fish. Its flight profile is also different, with broader, more rounded wings.
