Song

Calls

Common calls include a sharp, hard 'tack' or 'check', often repeated rapidly when alarmed. Also a soft 'churr' or 'chick-chick'.

When they vocalize

Males sing frequently from prominent perches during the breeding season (April to July). Calls are given year-round, especially when foraging or alarmed.
