Song

A rich, caroling song, often described as a 'cheerily, cheer-up, cheerio' pattern. It consists of clear, flute-like phrases that rise and fall in pitch, often sung from a high perch. Males sing frequently at dawn and dusk, and throughout the day during breeding season.

Calls

Common calls include a sharp 'peek' or 'tut' alarm call, a rapid 'cuck-cuck-cuck' when agitated, and a soft 'seep' contact call, especially during migration or in flocks.

When they vocalize
