Gulls do not have a true 'song' in the passerine sense. Their vocalizations are a series of calls.

Richiami

A wide repertoire of calls. The most characteristic is a loud, deep 'laughing' call, often described as 'kyow-kyow-kyow-kyow-kya-kya-kya'. Also produces harsh 'ga-ga-ga' alarm calls, short 'kew' contact calls, and various begging calls from juveniles. The voice is generally deeper and more resonant than that of the Herring Gull.

Vocalizes throughout the day, particularly when interacting with conspecifics, during territorial disputes, when alarmed, or when approaching food sources. More vocal during the breeding season.
