Highly varied and extensive repertoire. The most characteristic song is a loud, clear, and repetitive 'tee-cher, tee-cher, tee-cher' or 'pee-too, pee-too, pee-too' often described as sounding like a 'saw sharpening'. Variations include 'tink-tink-tink' or 'chick-a-dee-dee'. Males can have multiple song types.

Richiami

Common calls include a sharp 'pink!' or 'chink!' contact call, a scolding 'churr' or 'tsee-tsee-tsee' alarm call, and a soft 'sit' or 'tsee' call. They also have a distinctive 'chick-a-dee-dee-dee' call, though less complex than that of North American chickadees.

Quando vocalizzano

Most vocal during the breeding season (late winter to early summer) to establish territories and attract mates. Can be heard year-round, especially on sunny winter days.
